Wings + Things Series

Wings + Things are mixed media wall mounted sculptural objects which most often feature birds, moths, butterflies, cicadas and other natural references.  Heavily influenced by strong graphics, geometric designs, patterning and silhouette, many of these copper and glass pieces are a continuation of the lens theme which began in the Un/Natural series.  The glass lens is employed as a device to attach importance to what lies within, giving the viewer a place to pause and reflect on both the significance and the relationship to what is outside the lens.
