Description
Not sure what to expect? Here are some FAQ’s to get you started. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear pants and closed-toes shoes (absolutely no sandals or high heels) and nothing meltable (no polyester/vinyl). It’s best to dress in layers, it is warm while working with the hot glass, but the studio can be chilly when you are waiting your turn at the glassblowing bench so you may need to dress a little warmer. Please make sure you tie back long hair.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Bring a water bottle with you, I will have water on hand for refills if you run out. You are welcome to bring food with you as well (especially if you are taking a longer workshop), but please avoid bringing nuts to the studio. Bring your phone or camera! It’s always fun to snap some photos of your experience, and other students can take photos of you while you create your object.
WHEN CAN I HAVE MY FINISHED PIECE?
The glass has to cool slowly overnight so you will not be able to take your glass piece home on the day of your workshop. You will be able to pick up your finished piece from the studio three days after your workshop. I will send you an email when your piece is ready and we can make arrangements for pick-up or shipping.
CAN I CANCEL?
All classes and workshops are final sale and non-refundable. Refunds will only be provided if the class is cancelled due to low enrolment or inclement weather. If you can’t attend your workshop, you can transfer your spot to another person. Please email [email protected] to notify me of the modification.
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER ON THE DAY OF MY WORKSHOP?
I always monitor the weather forecast prior to class and if I feel that the driving conditions are unsafe, I will contact you via the email you provided (you can also contact me via text 519-924-1551). We will arrange to either reschedule the class or refund your full amount so you can book into another workshop.
